Who are we? We are Jab J'ouverTT – a j'ouvert band born from the heart of and proudly rooted in the Jab Molassie tradition. 

Our mission?

"JabJ'ouvert" is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Carnival by bridging the vibrant traditions of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada through the iconic Jab experience.

As the first-ever collaboration of its kind in the history of the Caribbean, we unite these two powerful Jab cultures to create an authentic, dynamic, and inclusive J'ouvert celebration. With a modern twist on the traditional Jab Molassie and J'ouvert experience, JabJ'ouverTT seeks to engage and educate the younger generation, ensuring that the spirit of resistance, resilience, and liberation remains alive for future generations.

 

Our mission is to honor the ancestral legacy of the Jab, while infusing it with fresh energy and creativity that speaks to today's Carnival revelers. In partnership with Jambalasee Grenada, we are committed to offering a historic, unforgettable experience for Carnival 2025 that embraces the fusion of our traditions and the future of Carnival."
